From February 2012 revised plans for the North Cornwall Cycle Hub were shared with the public. Public consultation in the summer of 2011 and in February 2012 was extremely successful with lots of people keen to know more and help make the plans as good as possible. Many of the comments made at these events have led to amendments to the cycle trail plans.
The planning application Lanhydrock has been submitted and can be found on Cornwall Council’s Online Planning Register. The planning reference number is PA12/07801.

Construction of the cycle trail at Cardinham Woods started in the week commencing 2 July 2012, and should take six months to complete. We will keep disruption to visitors to a minimum. On any given day you may find local diversions around the area in which the trail is being constructed. For your safety, please observe all safety signage. Regular updates will be posted around the site, on and feeds, and on the .
The project proposes to deliver cycle trails at the National Trust’s Lanhydrock property and in the Forestry Commission’s Cardinham Woods. The intention is also for a new café and cycle hire facility at Lanhydrock. The vision is for mostly family friendly green (easy) and blue (moderate) graded cycle trails and facilities to feature at Lanhydrock, with blue (moderate) and red (difficult) graded trails at Cardinham Woods, suited to more experienced off-road cyclists.
