As of January 2012 we are listing ‘cycle friendly’ accommodation on our interactive Adventure Cycle Map.
Accommodation providers listed on the map have been asked to confirm that they meet the following criteria:
Essential:
- A dedicated place to dry outdoor clothing and footwear (n/a campsites)
- A lockable covered shed for cycle storage (n/a campsites)
- Details of the nearest cycle specialist or web access (to 1SW Adventure Cycle Map) for guests
- Information about local cycle routes available to view – an O.S. map as a minimum. Web access (to 1SW Adventure Cycle Map) for guests desirable.
- Access to a local weather forecast – may be just a phone number.
- Details should be displayed for the local rescue services.
Desirable:
- A hose / bike wash facility
- A workshop facility
- Cycle tools including a track pump
- Inner tubes and puncture repair kits for sale
- A member of one of the region’s Destination Management Organisations
