The Dartmoor Enduro event on the 29th September (with the event centre at Princetown), consists of six stages, all different and taking in the best mix of cross-country riding to form one giant loop around the Burrator area. Ride each marked stage as fast as you can and take as long as you like between stages within an overall time window. The provisional route for this is online now, with both long and short routes.
The Mud Run on the 13th October, will take place at River Dart Country Park near Ashburton. Two laps of the park taking in the best of the terrain and all off road. It is a marked 10km route with a range of obstacles such as ‘walking the plank’ at the giant pirate ship and a ‘big tunnel slide’!
The Duathlon on the 23rd November will take place near Dartmeet at Brimpts Farm. Excellent steep woodland and open fields high above the Dart will give challenging cross country running and riding. All routes will be marked, and the event itself consists of a Run (5km), Bike (15km) and Run (2.5km). Reward your efforts with a post-race infamous Brimpts Farm cream tea!
Finally the Night Rider on the 7th December at Haldon Forest Park. This is a lapped race at night, with a marked route taking in the best of the forest but allowing good overtaking opportunities with the addition of single track technicality. A unique event, don’t be afraid of the dark!
Mud & Sweat’s popular MTB Nav event dates for 2014 will also be announced soon so check out their website for details.
