Work at Cannop Valley in the Forest of Dean has progressed really well.  Work is being undertaken by trail design and build contractors Back on Track.  We’re hopeful that the all-new blue (moderate) grade trail and skills areas should open on 22nd July ready for the school holidays.

Pedalabikeaway, the site based cycle-hire business, is now in new ownership and we’re confident the business will develop and grow even stronger over time without loosing any of it’s existing appeal.

Other works at the site, including a cycle bridge from Cannop to the popular family cycle trail and Beechenhurst Lodge, should all be completed on time by the end of 2011.

Dry weather (!) has been an interesting challenge for the trail build at this site.  We thank all those who have visited the site in the past 4 months for staying off of the new trails and giving them a chance to bed in.  We never thought lack of rain would be a problem for UK trail building…
