Forest of Dean Progress Update

Forest of Dean Large Skills Area

Forest of Dean Large Skills Area

Work in the Forest of Dean at Cannop Colliery is progressing well with overall trail build over half way to being complete.

Construction of the 7km moderate ‘blue’ grade trail is progressing well.  We are hopeful that the trail and skills areas will all be open to the public this summer so watch this space!

As with all trail build, the new trails in the Forest of Dean need time to bed in before they are ridden.  This allows the surface to consolidate and harden, making it more robust for the future.  Please do stay off newly built trails until you are invited to use them for the sake of the trail’s future.
