Construction at Cardinham Woods is currently on schedule, now over half way through the blue grade trail build. The new bridge that will cross Cardinham Water upstream from the Lady Vale bridge is nearly complete.
We owe a big thank you to local riders for their patience in keeping off the trails. The imported material we are using is proving an excellent surface for this blue (moderate) graded trail, but in the current weather conditions it is a little bit like porridge! With a stint of dry windy weather however it is setting exactly as we’d hoped and should give a fantastic all-weather surface for riding So, keep up the good work everyone! If all goes well the trails should be ready to open in the Spring, possibly as early as Easter.
We’re also welcoming suggestions to name the new trail, or any of the sections. They can be witty, inspirational, or have a local theme – perhaps you had an idea for a cracking name out on a ride one day, it doesn’t matter that you haven’t ridden it yet! All suggestions to . If we use your suggestion, we’ll recognise you in some way!
