Mud And Sweat: Night Rider
The inaugural Night Rider event will take place at Haldon Forest Park on Saturday 7th December 2013.
It will be a unique night cross-country race – the first to ever be granted permission to run at Haldon. You will follow a set marked route within the forest, all under the cover of darkness, and will do a number of laps, dependent on whether you enter the Long or Short courses (estimated distances – 20km and 10km).
This event is only open to riders over the age of 18.

It will be all off-road and will consist of a run (5km), bike (15km) and run (2.5km), with all runners/riders following a set marked route/laps.
It has the best safety cover and the organisation is one that runs events with military precision. There are two routes, one for 100km and one for 100miles. The start and finish HQ is moving to Tiverton for 2013 which gives it more parking and the full facilities including toilets and showers etc. The course is not easy and is the ride you do to test yourself before you relax for Christmas. Two feed stations on each course, timing, 8 safety vehicles and moto marshals.
The Run Rider is the latest addition to the Bristol off road calendar and will offer the runners/riders one of the best courses in the country. Being run in conjunction with popular Bristol Oktoberfest (www.bike-fest.com) the Run Rider will not just benefit from one of the most fun to ride mountain bike courses but will also deliver a tough but beautiful running course.

This year the race will be open to anyone regardless of age! The track is currently being designed with that in mind and information will be released when it is finalised.
Race format for the weekend as follows:
