A new cycle hire facility has recently launched at Tamar Lakes Country Park near Bude in Cornwall where the green (easy) grade trail circumnavigates the lake.
The new partnership has been established between Bude Bikes and South West Lakes Trust at Tamar Outdoor + Active Centre, Kilkhampton. Cycle hire is now available at this scenic lakeside location providing both adults and children with the opportunity to ride around the lake on the 2.8 mile long cycle path.
Neil Jackman and Neill Darling from Bude Bikes said, “We are pleased to have started working in partnership with South West Lakes Trust, and we hope that it will enable more people to enjoy the track around Upper Tamar Lake. We believe that cycling is a great addition to the existing activities on offer to visitors at the Lake. The circular track is relatively level and will suit people of varying ages and abilities.”
In 2011, together with , South West Lakes Trust worked hard to achieve a level path around the entire lake making it possible for anyone on foot, bikes or mobility scooters to comfortably enjoy the stunning views and wildlife around the lake.

The fun and relaxed atmosphere at Upper Tamar Lakes makes it a great location to learn a new sport or hire a range of equipment from pedalos and rowing boats to windsurfers and dinghies.
